Art Embraces Words Program

This year’s Art Embraces Words community event through the auspices of The Lamorinda Arts Council of Lafayette CA, held its first of the three series last May 10. The theme “Honoring every Kind of Mother” coincided with Mothers’Day, and my entry “Mama and the Ring” was selected to be read for the event. I’ve never read my own writing(s) in public, so this was a memorable experience! Also featured was a photographer, a painter, and a poet. There was a Q/A at the end of each presentation, followed by a delectable spread of munchies and drinks at the end of the program. The next events will be on July 12, and October 25.
